AE #1: What's Wrong with Blogs [not]

  The thing I dislike most about blogs are that they are hard to find, at least for me. I do not think I have come across one, while looking for one or by happenstance.  I may have followed a link to a blog that was sponsored by an organization website that I had visited often, but other than that, until tonight, I have seen very few of them.
  Now, I like the concept of the Blog. The idea that anyone can create their own webpage and publish their own opinions is a part of what I would call the American Dream. It is after all, about a fourth of the First Amendment of our Constitution.
  In the "blogosphere" just about anything goes, and what I do not wish to see, I do not have to see it. As part of my English assignment, I was to explore some of the blogs that are available, and I found some that were interesting. Here are some of them.
  I have some interest in this so called global warming, (I do not believe in it) and one of the blogs that won an award appears to be written for the purpose of debunking to global warming or climate change claims. WUWT
  One of the links that I was provided for finding Blogs, was Time's award site. While this site may not been a blog, I am naming it the worst. For while they reported on several blogs, Time did not set up any links for me to actually visit these sites. Therefore, for them I will not either.
  The only reason I would read a newspaper is to read the comics, so while this next site does not meet some of my own standards, I will allow you to judge whether or not it is for you. xkcd.
  Now, finally, as an honorable mention, a blog I had attempted to start about four years ago: The Travelers Rest. Let us see if I can commit some time to it now.

Introduction

Hello,

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Scott and I am currently attending Glendale Community Collage.
This Blog is an assignment, which I am looking forward to completing. I am hoping that I may be able to share with you some of my opinions, insights, and convictions.

As for a little background, I am a Christian, made so by my accepting Jesus Christ's work when he died upon the cross for my sin, (but not just mine, but for the sins of the whole world, even yours.) I have attended Bible College in Florida, and currently have as a goal: to strengthen the faith of fellow believers. Giving reason as to why we do not need to be ashamed of our message when scoffers or the uninformed try and use stories they claim are Science to shout us down.

As part of my Christian responsibility, it is my hope that in this blog, I will have the opportunity to convince some that have not already made their minds up, to accept Christ's Promise of pardon.

Back to some lighter matters, I enjoy in my leisure: playing computer games, watching movies and T.V shows and reading novels, and am currently trying to get back to enjoying biking, which can sometimes seem a chore, but I look back at the joy I had before, and hope to have that joy again.
